Plain Bamboo Steamer
Steaming vegetables preserves vitamins and nutrients. The vegetables and other foods such as meat or fish, do not come in direct contact with water, so nutrients and flavors are retained in the food and do not get lost in the water. To prepare use about 20% water (compared to the total amount of food). As soon as the water is boiling, place the bamboo basket in the pot. The basket will be suspended on the rim of the pot, thus not coming in contact with the water. The lid of the woven bamboo basket prevents the valuable steam from escaping.
The bamboo steamer should be rinsed thoroughly after use with hot water. When preparing fish and meat we recommend adding a layer of baking paper, cucumber slices or thick salad leaves between the bamboo and your food. Dimensions: 15 cm high and 20 cm diameter (Bamboo is a natural product, so dimensions may partially differ).
