Spermidine is a naturally occurring polyamine found in every cell in the body and plays a central role in cell metabolism. It promotes autophagy, a process for self-cleaning of cells. This supports cell renewal and healthy aging.
Spermidine occurs naturally in all living organisms and body cells, but the concentration decreases as we age. Autophagy also becomes less efficient, which leads to disease-related deposits in the cells. Spermidine stimulates autophagy and thus damaged cell organelles, pathogens and defective proteins are broken down.
The cell-regenerating and antioxidant properties can also strengthen the skin, hair and nails. The body can also regenerate and recover more effectively, which can improve sleep quality.
